ICE MAGIC at Top of Europe: An ice-skating dream

SWITZERLAND WINTERSwitzerland in its winter coat is not only a destination for people who want to try skiing, but is also offering a big choice of other activities to experience snow in different facets. Glacier Express is also operating in winter and shows the variety of winter landscapes in different regions and altitudes. The new Ice Magic Ice Park in Interlaken offers ice skating and fun activities on ice in the city centre and is a meeting point for locals and tourists during winter time.
Arosa GRTop of Europe ICE MAGIC is the unique skating experience set to transform the centre of Interlaken into a winter wonderland from 20 December 2014 to 28 February 2015. ICE MAGIC consists of various-sized ice rinks linked by a winding 400-metre ice runway. The offer is rounded off with a wide range of culinary options with the Igloo Restaurant, market stalls and Winter Lounge as well as skate rental and Bavarian curling. Anyone still a little wobbly on the ice but who would like to cut a more elegant figure can book private instruction. Fun aids are also available to help younger ones with their first adventure on ice.

SWITZERLAND WINTERIn the evening, magical illuminations gives Top of Europe ICE MAGIC a special ambiance. The winter wonderland will be set in the northwest corner of the Höhematte, lined with traditional hotels and the popular promenade. Stunningly situated, it will offer a totally new all-round experience.

Creamy hot chocolate, warming mulled wine and tasty fondues are certain to be firm favourites on the menu. But ICE MAGIC offers much more. Various stalls on the Piazza or the Igloo Restaurant are serving tasty treats including macaroni with minced beef, toasted cheese, risotto, quiche and other local delicacies.

From 16.00h, the 3 Bavarian curling rinks can be booked for a match by groups of up to 8 persons. Each rink costs CHF 50.00 per 30 minutes. Bavarian curling requires no previous experience and so is also great fun for beginners.
