World through my eyes
Tokyo is one of those cities that gives you a real big city feeling, not just big but huge, just like Chicago or Shanghai. That has to be for the world’s most populated city perhaps. Its altogether different feeling. And you need days or weeks to claim that you have seen the whole city. For that matter, any night stroll has to be essentially close to the place of stay, as was Nishi Shinjuku for me.
It is always fascinating to watch a city skyline in night from a high-rise, so overwhelming-
Well for a city like Tokyo, life doesn’t stops at night, it seems like usual- on the roads-
Umbrellas are really handy in Tokyo and actually everyone (all locals) carries a one. For the first time I saw almost all stores having umbrella stands at the entrance or a machine to cover your folded umbrella with a polycover, so that it doesn’t drips water inside. And at the exit you will have a bin to drop that cover while moving out. The whole thing looked so interesting to me.
Japanese young ones like there nightlife, gaming and comics. No doubt that Japanese games and comics are their to be seen in every part of the world. Few people also relate this phenomenon to growing loneliness among the Japanese society. No wonder that Japanese are leading the world in providing the humans with mechanised companions for almost every act in life…
Japanese love food and though Indian population is not that big in the city but the number of Indian and Pakistani restaurants in the city surpasses logic. It is said that Japanese love butter chicken and chicken tikka a lot and will often queue Indian restaurants for them.
Well, Tokyo is a type of city which you need time to soak in, a lot more to really enjoy it.
