Golfing in the Paradise with Thai Golf Pass!
Golf is an amazing sport, unlike most of other competitive sports. It is played at different golf courses and each course is so different from the other so much so that not just the outcome of the event might well be decided by the structure of the course, but the course itself becomes the most fascinating part. Golfers will vie for getting some shots at admired golf courses. Thus the golf courses become the destination in themselves. Now, that is the phenomenon we are increasingly seeing around. Golf tourism has become a dedicated offshoot of tourism in general and sports tourism in particular.
A golf course needs large area, big greens and an excellent topography. Since south east Asia has all of this in abundance, therefore many south Asian countries are more and more showcasing themselves as golfing destinations. Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia are prominent among them. Thailand has done this to great length and this was one of the reasons, why Thai Golf Passport was launched, which has now entered its season 3.
Thailand is no doubt renowned as Asia’s most popular golfing destination. Golf has been played in Thailand for more than a century with games recorded at Royal Bangkok Sports Club, as early as 1905. Over the years Thailand has greeted millions of Tourists to experience the beautiful scenery as well as welcomed golfers around the world to tee-off and swing on the superb courses nationwide. Thailand provides tremendous value in all the areas that really matter to Visiting golfers. From the wide range of hotel accommodation and golf, to shopping in local markets or high-bass department stores, to the breadth of dining options and nightlife, as well as travelling in Thailand is remarkably cheap for the quality provided.
The golf itself is the main reason golf enthusiasts travel to a premier golf destination, and with layouts designed by Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones II, Nick Faldo, Pete Dye, and Greg Norman, you will not be disappointed in Thailand. In addition there are dozens of top quality courses from Thai and Japanese architects who might not boast household names across Europe and North America, but you will never forget the golf they have created here.

A unique and truly memorable part of playing golf in Thailand is predominantly female Thai caddies. Greeting you upon arrival at the clubhouse Thai caddies take care of everything before you tee off. They will guide you around the course. They will give you distances to the green, make your ball, rake your bunkers, read your putts and cool you down when the sun gets a bit hot. Through it all smiles and good cheer. It’s been estimated that 900,000 Thais play the game; it’s another reason there are so many good courses here. Thais really love their golf.
