
The IMD website, in its earthquake data for the current month (April) showed that while seven of these 16 earthquakes were significantly felt in Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, these measured from as low as 2.8 on the Richter scale in the West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya on April 9 to the 7.9 that epicentred in Pokhara in Nepal but was felt not just across northern and eastern India but even down south in Kochi and other places.
