A restless soul. Twenty five years back planned a journey round the globe on bicycle. It never materialised though. But the spirit still remains.
Professionally a journalist and passionately a traveler, writer & photographer. Still trying to merge the two- profession and passion. Traveled across India and fortunately some places outside India as well.

I love your freedom to travel. I don’t do nearly enough. Beautiful photographs, nice motorcycle, similar to one I used to have.
Cheers,
Dennis
Thanks for appreciating. Frankly speaking, I don’t consider that I have freedom to travel, but somehow I manage to travel. Still nothing in comparison to what I wish for. Wish this bike takes me around the globe.

Dear Swamiupendra
in your article ““Colour and culture at Dangs Darbar” you published an image of my property without my explicit permission and without mentioning the author’s name (me)
The image was probably copied without my permission from this gallery:
http://www.gujarattourism.com/newsletter/07/dang-darbar.html
I believe this has been done in good faith and kindly ask you to add – both on your facebook page and website – my name and credits

Looking forward for your kind reply
Thank you and kind regards
Monica Mietitore
Hi Monica
I am absolutely sorry for that. I asked my sources in Gujarat tourism for an image while doing the post and they sent the image without mentioning the necessary credits. Hence the gaffe. My apologies again. I have immediately updated the post with your credits to the image. Still if you have any objection, I will immediately delete the image. I have utmost respect for anybody’s copyright.
thank you,
I can see the credits now!
regards & dhanyavad

Its my pleasure and thanks for the beautiful image of Dangs Darbar.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Looks like you have an interesting story along with some great photos. Happy travels!
Thanks a lot for your lovely comments. They mean a lot to me. It was also nice to have a follow back. Hope to keep the hope of good work!
I just noticed you had a plan to ride a bicycle around the globe. In 1977 in America (I was 19) I was formulating the same plan. But I have yet to do it. Perhaps next year. 😉 Also I truly enjoy your photography.
Thanks a lot for everything. I was 23 when I started working on this plan. I still miss that feeling. And perhaps anyday in my life till when I am physically capable, I will always keep that wish alive deep inside to embark on that journey of lifetime! But I still don’t know when!
I think we share the same spirit.
We do.
Hi Upendra… You have a lovely blog, and the images are fascinating. Wondering if I can use some of your images both on your facebook page and website, for messages, greetings, etc.

Hi Upendra, have you visited the Lakh Bahosi sanctuary recently? Any idea about how one can book accommodation for the same?
Hi
Not have been to Lakh-Bahosi recently. And knowing the way UP govt takes tourism, I still don’t believe that there would have been any drastic improvement in infrastructure facilities there. Don’t expect anything to stay at Bahosi. Lakh is further ahead and poorer in conditions. Best bet is to stay at Kannauj and take day trips to bird sanctuary. Kannauj has some small hotels and a UP tourism guest house, which can be booked online.
Awsome! Whats the camera in your hand in the image where you are reaching out for the water?
Hi Param, if you are talking about the last image from the Sikkim where I am trying to touch the chilling Lachung-Chu water through my left hand, then it is my old handy-cam (Sony TRV355E), that I am holding. Not using it anymore.
Here’s to being a free traveler!
Thanks for the follow!
More travels! 😉
Thanks a lot Sheryl. Nice to connect to fellow travellers.
My pleasure! 🙂
I wish your venture all success, yesterday, Eai Samay has published a report about your venture. I You must be knowing the saqme. I have mailed you the same at your face book page.

Hi! Visiting your blog after a while now. It’s good to see the variety of posts and the effort you put into them. Let me know if you do cycle/bike around the world. Will cheer you on – after all, what is life without adventures!
Short time biking is still own, lets hope the bigger one comes one day!
Sometimes, one loses sight of the small things that give us joy in pursuit of a larger goal. So, keep enjoying the shorter ones and just don’t forget the bigger one. It’ll happen!
True Vibha. Thanks for inspiring. I will always thrive to make that happen.
