Upendra SwamiApril 12, 2017 1297 Views2

Bali itself is a dream destination and staying in Melia Bali adds zing to this dream! It is a big beach resort and actually staying here is itself a complete holiday with there being a private beach and all sort of activities. Also read: Bali is the top destination in the world Hotel is in Nusa Dua area, which itself is a calm and secluded area reserved for top class hotels, quite far from tourist frenzy at Kuta or what is like in Ubud. Leela Palace Udaipur is the best hotel in the country

Upendra SwamiJanuary 29, 2017 2236 Views6

Rajasthan seems to have developed a penchant for exquisite and exclusive hotels. No doubt, most of these hotels are a different class altogether which make them loved ones among those who are looking for something elite. As per TripAdvisor Travellers’s Choice survey for 2017 among the top 25 hotels in India, 9 are in Rajasthan and all the top three are from state with two among them from Udaipur. And interestingly, in this list there is also a mini competition among the big hotel chains that quite explains the Indian hotel industry scenario. Among the top 25 hotels eight belong to the Oberoi Group of Hotels and seven to Taj Group of Hotels. That leaves onl...

Luxury in Heritage – Devigarh

Upendra SwamiNovember 7, 2015 1323 Views2

Made famous almost a decade ago by some fat celebrity weddings, Devigarh owned by Lebua Hotels and Resorts is a heritage hotel, housed in an 18th-century palace in the village of Delaware near Udaipur in Rajasthan. It still is famous for weddings in royal styles. Popular for shootings of films and TV serials, this was the royal residence of the rulers of Delwara principality, from the middle of the 18th century until the mid-20th century. Nestled in the Aravali hills, the stunning hill-top fort palace is located on one of the three main passes into the valley of Udaipur. This palace is now fantastically restored into a luxurious, sophisticated and impossibly romantic retreat. The interior of the fort palace has been transformed in a minimalist contemporary manner while conserving the an...
