Costa Cruise to sail from Mumbai to Maldives & Colombo

Another cruise comes India's way and one has to keep the fingers crossed. Europe's number 1 cruising company, Costa Cruises, has announced the highly-anticipated launch of Costa neoClassica in India at a press conference in the Mumbai on Monday. Costa neoClassica will begin homeport cruises from Mumbai from December 2016. The ship will perform a series of weekly sailings from 16th Dec 2016 - 18th March 2017. Among the destinations will be few desi hotspots like Goa and Cochin and popular ones like Maldives and Colombo. India seems to have a love-hate relationship with cruise operators. Its not the first time that a top cruise line is entering the Indian market. This is not even first for the Mumbai. Indian Ocean on fire, hundreds of kilometres south-west of Indian coast, deep inside the sea and close to Maldives. Don't know about others, but I have no qualms in accepting that setting sun brings a feeling of longing in me, for some unfulfilled desires and expectations. Hence it has always been my favourite, wherever I am-high up in the mountains or deep in the sea. These ones were taken on a cruise. इस साल(2013) का विश्व पर्यटन दिवस आज मालदीव में मनाया जा रहा है। इस मौके पर मालदीव की अद्भुत यात्रा पर एक लेख प्रस्तुत है, जो मैंने तीन साल पहले लिखा था। ................................................................................... हम माले के अहमदी बाजार में राजधानी की सबसे बडी एंटीक व सोवेनियर दुकान में थे। सारे सेल्समैन मालदीव के राष्ट्रपति मोहम्मद नाशीद द्वारा एक दिन पहले कोपेनहेगन में विश्व जलवायु सम्मेलन में दिए गए भाषण को बडे ध्यान से सुन रहे थे। ईमानदारी से कहूं तो मैंने किसी हिंदुस्तानी को राष्ट्रपतियों या प्रधानमंत्री के भाषणों को इतने ध्यान से सुनते नहीं देखा। लेकिन जब इस धरती की एक नायाब रचना के अस्तित्व का ही सवाल हो तो, इतनी गंभीरता लाजिमी ही थी। कई लोगों ने अक्टूबर में मालदीव की कैबिनेट द्वारा पानी के अंदर की गई बैठक को भले ही टोटका समझा हो, लेकिन मालदीव जाकर...
