It is indeed very frustrating to get locked up at home. Most of us love to travel and we would like to pack our bags and move out on the very first opportunity provided. But that does not seem to be happening in the near future. It is just a wild guess; everyone is making that when can we travel like a free bird again. But we can certainly make our priorities on where are we going to travel first, once this damn lockdown is lifted. As most of the countries are in lockdown and at least 93 percent of the global population now lives in countries with coronavirus-related travel restrictions, Tourism and Travel has become one of the most affected industries by COVID-19. iVisa has tried to understand how this context of fear and uncertainty is going to affect the future of travel. It conducted a survey to measure the general travel sentiment of people. Lets see, what the survey results show-

- Americans and Canadians feel less fearful towards international travel, compared to the rest of the world.
- While 75% of participants around the world would start traveling this year, in North American 86% of travellers would resume their trips in 2020 (and a staggering 57% would consider traveling in the next 5 months).
- 60% of the people that already had a trip booked between May and December 2020, are still planning to travel as long as they are allowed.
- Europe and Asia are the favourite destinations to visit post lock-down.
- 33% of the people that still want to travel, are planning to start between October and December of 2020.
Future Travel
Survey learned that despite gloomy forecasts, travel might have a bright future, as people feel positive towards traveling in the future. Based on the analysis survey discovered that almost 75% of people already had a trip planned for 2020 and almost 60% of them would still travel as long as there were no travel restrictions at their home and destination countries.
