The Brussels Flower Carpet was named international flower event of the year at the presentation of the International Garden Tourism Awards in Toronto.     The International Garden Tourism Network presented its awards recently, as it does every year. The trade organisation annually awards the best garden tourism initiatives worldwide. The Flower Carpet received the international jury's highest acclaim in the 'flower event' category. Annette Katz, manager of Bloementapijt NPO, is absolutely delighted with the award. "This distinction rewards the know-how of a whole team of enthusiasts. Radhanagar is among top 25 beaches in world

Upendra SwamiMarch 10, 2015 1985 Views3

One of India’s most known and popular beaches Radhanagar Beach at Havelock Island, Andaman and Nicobar Islands is among the top 25 beaches in the world according to Trip Advisor, the top travel & tourism reviewing site in the world. Radhanagar beach, known for its white soft sand stands 12th in the list and is second Asian beach in the top 25. Mind it, this is a list compiled on the basis of ratings by the users around the world who travel and then review different places. In this regard it is more realistic based on user experiences. Brazil’s Baia do Sancho at Fernando de Noronha is at the top. For the second year in a row, the golden crescent hugged by rocky cliffs has earned the No. 1 spot on the global list. Not so easily accessible, but this is hardly disappointing to be there...

Installations heavy on paintings! – The Art scene

Upendra SwamiMarch 2, 2015 1998 Views3

Art world seems to be getting more and more crazy towards installations. Are paintings loosing out? Installations are jazzy, trendy and perhaps more communicating. Recently concluded Delhi Art Fair also reflected this in a big way. Installations carried big space, bigger price tag and biggest buyers. A look at some of the installations- ‘Music of our Times’ by Surendra Pal Joshi A huge helmet with created with 50,000 safety pins. A steel skeleton pinned with big size pins. A headphone is attached to the helmet. Work signifies life and living in post modern age. ‘Spiderman PK’ by Mukesh Sharma Using computer keys, ropes, ribbons and wires- synthesising materials to explicate a complex idea of a Superman in a straight word narrative! ‘The Enchanted Forest’ by Alex Davis An over

Spring in its full bloom and it is riot of colours everywhere- in nature as well on faces! one of the most awaited months of the year because of its festivities- festival of colours- Holi in the beginning and Chaitra towards the end. It is also last of the months of the pleasant weather before the summer strikes. Its already getting hot this time of the year. Don't spare a chance to be around at any one of these places! My top 10 picks- 1. Festival of colours in Brij Though there are many festivals around the world where people throw colours, waters, flowers, mud, tomatoes, oranges and what not on each other, but no celebration can be compared to the fervour of celebrating Holi in mythical land of Krishna. Though Holi is celebrated in almost all parts of northern and central India, b
