A Himalayan view is always fascinating, and more so when you see it from top... not just from top, but high up in the sky over 40K fits from an international flight. I took the images while returning from Tokyo. It was unanticipated and an overwhelming sight. Had seen panoramic views of Himalayas from different places at different times, but this one was different. It has been thrilling and challenging to capture these images from a moving jet... I enjoyed it thoroughly. Have a look and excuse me as I was not able to identify the ranges... (Everest any!) ...

Flight to moon! An alert camera, a good window seat, excellent weather and a powerful zoom may sometimes give you some interesting situations to click upon, while on flight. Here was my chance in crystal clear blue sky to capture a flight to moon. Really!! Sorry!, I couldn't get the landing photo, as my zoom wasn't that powerful!...
Read MoreIndian Ocean on fire, hundreds of kilometres south-west of Indian coast, deep inside the sea and close to Maldives. Don't know about others, but I have no qualms in accepting that setting sun brings a feeling of longing in me, for some unfulfilled desires and expectations. Hence it has always been my favourite, wherever I am-high up in the mountains or deep in the sea. These ones were taken on a cruise. Beauty of setting sun simply made me speechless, but it also fuelled a fire- as in sea, so in heart!! ...

Read MoreHow to celebrate the announcement that my blog has been included in list of Top Travel Bloggers of India by Holidify.com (http://www.holidify.com/blog/top-travel-bloggers-india/)? What better could be than to post a another beautiful photo story (my blog is in list of Top Photo Blogs). Photographing sun is one of my favourite photo works. This one was recently done and where else than the place which I consider as one of the best places in India to view a sunrise- Kausani (in Kumaon region of Himalayan state Uttarakhand). Whether or not there is a clear blue sky to let golden hue of Trishul and Nanda Devi peaks mesmerise you, but sunrise here will definitely throw some amazing colours. Astonishing drawings- You will always be surprised by the beauty, how the moun...
Read MoreIts rare for a Bougainvillea bush to become a landmark. But it actually is. This is one happy, big Bougainvillea bush right in the middle of the market at Almora in Uttarakhand. Its said that more than 35 years ago, this bougainvillea wrapped itself around a deodar tree. Their love story continues. Actually people in Almora consider this as symbol of love. Now it has turned into a massive bougainvillea on Mall Road. So much so that, one has to actually look deep to search for the deodar tree, beneath it. It has turned itself into an attraction of sort for the tourists coming to Almora. It always fascinated me ever since I had my first visit to Almora, many years back. Its so big, so lush that perhaps it is one among very few things of the city that can be spotted and identified from...

Read MoreIts simple spellbinding. Isn't it! More so when you get to witness such a visual spectacle at some of the most unassuming of places. This is on way back to Rameshwaram from Dhanushkodi in Tamilnadu. A cursory glance towards sea and this was what was to be seen. A huge flock of hundreds of Australian Flamingos, in all their glory. ...

Read MoreTough for someone to do a labour-intensive work at this altitude daily (almost 8000 ft), and tougher if it is related to sanitation as then nobody literally cares about you. They just care about what you were not able to do. You surely miss the light of liberation. Somehow, it never falls on you. You are domed to remain marginalised!!...
